Takeover Tuesdays — A Weekly Live Music Event in Decentraland
By Decentraland, , in Announcements
Every Tuesday starting March 24, a Twitch streamer takes over Decentraland Theatre and plays a full set to the crowd inside. The performance streams to their Twitch audience at the same time, so you're in the same moment as their following: same lights, same music, reacting together in real time.
How Takeover Tuesdays Work
Each Tuesday brings a different streamer to the stage. Their set runs for 40 to 60 minutes, synced with live effects inside the Theatre—lights, visuals, balloons, bubbles—the kind of atmosphere that makes a room feel like a party rather than a screening. The artist is present in-world as their avatar during the show, chatting with the crowd as the set plays.
The same show goes out on Twitch simultaneously. If you're watching from outside and want to be in the room rather than looking in, you can just show up and you'll find yourself alongside regulars who know the space and people arriving for the first time, same as you.
Coming Up
March 24 - Tschessy
The Austrian DJ and Twitch Partner Tschessy brings her signature mix of techno, hardtechno, and hardstyle to Decentraland.
March 31 - Thug Shells
Canadian rapper and DJ Thug Shells, blends conscious hip hop with electronic beats and high-energy, live freestyles.
How To Join
Download Decentraland if you haven't already. If it's installed, open it and head to the Theatre. It's a short walk from where you land in Genesis Plaza.
Arrive before 8pm UTC on Tuesday. The set starts on time. Take a spot in the crowd and watch with everyone else. Text chat is open throughout, so people react, respond, and talk to the artist as the show unfolds. You can stay for the full set or drop in partway through. Many people tend to hang out afterwards too.
Show Up This Tuesday
Sets run every Tuesday at 8pm UTC inside the Theatre.
