Inaugural METAVERSE BEAUTY WEEK launching Spring 2023 is here to GIVE REALITY A MAKEOVER – highlighting best-in class immersive experiences with Digital Beauty & Interoperability The metaverse is going to get a lot more beautiful this summer with the first-ever Metaverse Beauty Week, a beauty festival rallying together a curation of mass and indy beauty brands, for virtual activations across platforms including Decentraland, Spatial and Roblox as well as in-person events in London and New York. Metaverse Beauty Week (MBW) will be held from June 12-17, 2023, kicking-off this festival season with a virtual makeover. Pioneered by CULT – a creative agency based in London and New York, in collaboration with Exclusible and metaverse platforms, #MBW2023 invites the global community to experience beauty in a way like never before. The festival will take place in Decentraland’s new Beauty District and will feature an iconic all-star lineup of talent, spanning both emerging and established digital influencers and AR creators including; Ines Alpha, Vegas City, Polycount, Immersive Kind and CK Bubbles, to name a few. Expect attractions including wearable beauty NFTs (such as hair and makeup features for in-game avatars) and contests complete with digital and IRL prizes. The curatorial theme of #MBW2023 is ‘Reality Gets A Makeover,’ a way to redefine the future of beauty in virtual life, showing the potential of beauty to bridge the gap between IVL and IRL worlds. MBW is a funnel to subvert the IRL beauty norms and make beauty truly more inclusive and diverse, in a way that is creator and individual led, as we curate the future.
