After being presented in Miami Art Week 2021, and in the NFT festival Illumia, Englebert presents the series "Porvenir: One and Three Realms", comprised of NFTs “Wannabe Porvenir” & “Porvenir Selfie”, and large-scale sculpture “Porvenir”, as a contemporary take on Kosuth´s questioning on representation and meaning. The series reflects on the imminent consequences of rising sea levels, and the necessary role of the human species to reach solutions. The two NFTs examine how technology constitutes an intrinsic part of human development. “Wannabe Porvenir” stands in a digital realm, heightening the idea of technology as a means of achieving change. “Porvenir Selfie” refers to a registry by technology of the real scale artwork, embodying the transformation from the real world into the virtual realm.
