Explore the latest in Japanese pop and virtual culture as the MetaTokyo Stage returns for its second year. The MetaTokyo team brings an exciting lineup of talent including AmPm, a masked production duo from Japan who are making a global impact with their music; GLITCH RAVE, a next-generation IP, music and gaming project; and CANDY TUNE is the idol group of seven members on a mission to share Harajuku style with the world. The stage is designed by MISOSHITA, the Chief Metaverse Officer of MetaTokyo. 🎧CANDY TUNE The idol group CANDY TUNE consists of seven members: Rino Fukuyama, Mizuki Kirihara, Natsu Minami, Nanako Ogawa, Bibian Murakawa, Shizuka Miyano, and Kotomi Tachibana. The group was formed by the KAWAII LAB project, started by ASOBISYSTEM to promote Japanese idol culture around the world. CANDY TUNE will make its debut in March 2023. The project aims to be a collective of artists that connects both underground and overground cultures, pop and alternative genres, and Japan and Asia with the world. The collective is led by MANON, an iconic presence in the Japanese rap scene; SUNNY ONLY1, a Gen-Z alternative pop singer and model; and a creative crew called ‘KissGelz’ (MANON, Dan, Kano). She began her career as an artist in 2020 and has gained a large following for her natural and relatable personality and her heartfelt vocals found in ballads, pop songs, and everything in between. Since 2022, she has been performing live on the street every week in her hometown in Kansai. These live performances have attracted a lot of attention, especially on TikTok, and Kawanishi has amassed over 320,000 followers on social media.
