**ABOUT FILMRARE** Filmrare is a Metaverse Venue Development Studio with a mission to bring entertainment studios & projects into the metaverse. We built the first Operational Cineplex in Decentraland. We are tech and analytics-driven with the ability to build, operate, monetize and scale metaverse movie venues. **ABOUT ROOT.AX** root.ax is an accelerator designed to dramatically maximize the potential of media projects through mentorship, networks & financial support. Working across film, series, audio, journalism, art & culture, we position projects to the audience & industry, deepen their impact, and extend their IP across formats. [Root.ax](http://Root.ax) has incubated a diverse set of projects through other labs such as South BRIDGE a pitching-focused lab for South Indian projects, KNOW- a design sprint for Knowledge Creators to build a viable business and GROW - A lab for expanding nonfiction/long-form reportage pieces into a new media format. **ABOUT MAKE A MYTH** MAKE a Myth is A Genre lab for horror, fantasy, and sci-fi films where 11 writers have undergone mentorship from renowned writers, filmmakers, and academics to help them strengthen their core myths and from International mentors like Torino film lab trainers [Mmbatho Kau](http://www.torinofilmlab.it/people/5936-mmabatho-kau) and [Stefano Tealdi](http://www.torinofilmlab.it/people/706-stefano-tealdi), in the areas of story development and pitching. In a final culmination of the program, they are pitching and presenting their projects to a curated set of Industry delegates & decision-makers on 31st May. Through this program, Root.ax hopes to create a space for fresh and diverse South Asian genre voices that can capture our culture, traditions & society by reimagining genre cinema from our geography. **OUR PROJECTS** This cohort boasts of an eclectic mix of carefully curated Indian and international projects in stages of both early and late development. They contain themes of coming of age, climate change, racism, and casteism among others that have been told through the lens of horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and other speculative fiction genres. 11 participants will pitch their projects for feedback, further development, and production.
