Dr. Margarita Kuleva and TAEX invite you on a curator’s tour of the Metaverse Dérive: NFT Cities exhibition. Devoted to the opportunities of digital architecture between online and offline worlds, the drop presents works by architectural visionaries and global nomads — Jessica Baldivieso, Oguz Emre Bal, and Othmane Kandri. Together with the curator Dr. Margarita Kuleva, they invite the visitors of Museum District on a collective journey, to withdraw the conventions of living cities as public and private property, issues of access, boundaries of touch and gaze, and the routines of the travel, using the Metaverse as an opportunity for mediation and conversation between artists and the audience. We will begin our tour in the TAEX booth by meeting the works and their contexts and then wander off into the Museum District, to explore the psychogeography of cyberspace and our instincts within it. The conversational approach is crucial here, and we invite everyone to ask questions as we proceed and give comment. All NFTs featured in the booth are available to purchase as unique editions on theart.exchange. About the curator: Dr. Margarita Kuleva is a researcher, curator, and artist, exploring social inequalities in culture and technology. In 2022 she joined TAEX as a curator. In her research and art projects, she mainly uses ethnography and performance as methods. She has worked with a number of international cultural institutions, including Manifesta Biennale, Boston Center for the Arts, Garage MoCA, Goethe Institute, Street Art Museum, and more.
