Decentraland Treasure Hunt: a survival guide

Firstly, a massive thank you to everyone for being part of the Public Launch, not to mention all of you who created the scenes that are now being scoured for loot. If you were treasure you’d be Mythic, every one of you.

For newcomers to Decentraland and the Treasure Hunt, please ensure you have some ethereum in your digital wallet. If you don’t already have a wallet we recommend using Metamask which you can add to the Chrome browser. Find out how to do that here.

Fixes, tweaks and improvements

Like all momentous launches in history the Public Launch wasn’t without its teething problems but we appreciate the feedback of our early explorers.

As such when you enter the Treasure Hunt, be mindful of the following:

  • Every player will be able to open the same amount of Loot Crates and the more chests you open, the higher value the prizes become, with the last chest containing the most valuable prize

  • There is a prize for everyone who opens the last chest

  • If you open 20 chests in a day or 10 in an hour you are put in cool down (to be fair to other explorers)

  • Scenes taking longer to complete than anticipated have been moved to later in the challenge – however it doesn’t matter which order you do the scenes

  • You can teleport between scenes by using the /goto next command in the chat window
