The first-ever AI World Fair will take place in Decentraland from October 25-27. Join thought leaders from Web3, gaming, fashion, art, and robotics for a series of discussions and panel talks that aim to demystify key concepts and viewpoints in AI, while realistically surveying the technologies future opportunities in the short and long term. What to Expect from the AI World Fair
The AI World Fair will be the first-ever exploration of AI-related concepts, technology, and practitioners in the metaverse. Expect plenty of groundbreaking keynotes, presentations, and activities in which to get involved!
The 3-day event will take place in one of Decentraland’s newest districts, Innovation City, home to Sophia the Robot’s SophiaVerse HQ. Sophia will take a starring role in the AI World Fair, alongside other luminaries such as:

In all, over 40 speakers will discuss a range of topics, within three core themes:
Sci-fi vs Sci-fact The key concepts, issues, and potential of AI, exploring how it is being used across various fields, and aiming to find some measure of consensus in a bid to improve the conversation.
AI x Humanity: Bane or Benefit? A deep dive into topics like job displacement vs creation, impact on business, regulation and governance, security and data protection, ethics, creativity, and how to strike a balance between fostering innovation and ensuring responsible development and deployment.
The Road Ahead Speakers will focus on future developments including the rise of super intelligent AI, the promise of singularity, and how AI will work with crypto, Web3, and the metaverse.

The First Fully Gamified District
The AI World Fair has its own virtual currency, AIWF Points. They are earned through quests, games, puzzles, and attendance at panels and keynote sessions. You can use AIWF Points to purchase digital assets in the form of Wearables and items. It’s also important to keep your eyes on the skies as drones will be randomly dropping rare prizes throughout the three days.
