This October, Decentraland transforms into Fright Night—a virtual celebration of Halloween, Day of the Dead, and all things spooky. From haunted parkour runs to undead dance parties, the stage is set for the community to bring the chills and thrills to life.
An open call is now live for 8 community activations to join the official Fright Night lineup. Each selected activation will receive a $500 USD reward in MANA.
What Counts as an Activation?
Fright Night is about surprises, scares, and festive fun. Activations can take many forms, such as:
A Halloween twist on your existing game
A spooky parkour challenge
A community-made horror film screening
A trick-or-treat tour across venues
A chilling treasure hunt
A dance party of the undead
Or any other hauntingly imaginative idea

Getting Started
Before applying, download Decentraland and explore. No need to build yet—just get familiar with how activations feel in 3D space and check that your device runs the world smoothly. To be eligible, you’ll need to provide the email or wallet used to access Decentraland in your application.
Participation Beyond Awards
Taking part in Fright Night isn’t limited to award recipients. Even if you’re not selected for a Fright Night Activation, you can still be included in the official program. The application form will include the option, “Even if I’m not selected, I’d still like to be part of the program.” This ensures all participants have a chance to be listed in the Fright Night blog and other promotional content.
Ready to Join Fright Night?
The stage is set for Decentraland’s most haunting celebration. Whether you’re conjuring scares, crafting surprises, or creating spaces for the community to gather, this is your chance to bring Halloween to life.
Submit by Sept 22 2025 and be part of Fright Night’s official lineup.
