Follow the Beat: Announcing the Music Talent Trail Open Call
By Decentraland, , in Announcements
In Decentraland, music has always been an integral part of the experience, uniting the community through shared performances. From virtual acoustic sets to DJs in neon-lit clubs, the community has hosted a diverse range of artists and genres, creating moments that are as real as any physical festival. It’s time to reinvest in the Decentraland music scene by supporting the performers, venue creators, and music lovers who make these events possible. It starts now with the Music Talent Trail Open Call!

As a part of the Music Talent Trail event, five venues will be selected by the Decentraland Foundation to participate. If your venue is chosen, you will receive 700 USD paid in MANA to program 45 minutes of live music on March 20. Whether it's an indie artist, underground punk band, or an EDM set, there’s space for all types of music experiences!
Eligibility:
Your venue must be currently deployed on LAND in Decentraland's Genesis City. Venues in a Decentraland WORLD are not eligible for this Trail.
The music must be streamed live into your venue during the event. You will be responsible for managing the streaming setup and testing it with your chosen performer(s).
Your venue and your public social profiles must comply with the Terms of Use, Code of Ethics, and Content Policy of the Decentraland Platform.
Important Dates:
Sunday, March 2: Deadline for submissions.
Wednesday, March 5: Announcement of the five selected venues.
Wednesday, March 12: If selected, coordinators must set a time for the performance and create an event listing.
Thursday, March 20: Trail event with live tour and performances.
Music, Community, and Connection
Music in Decentraland isn’t just about entertainment—it’s about creativity and connection. It’s about dancing with avatars from around the world, discovering new sounds in digital landscapes, and feeling the collective energy of a virtual crowd. By fostering more opportunities for live music, we strengthen the bonds that make Decentraland a true community.
Ready to turn up the volume? Submit your venue and performance idea to the open call and let’s bring more beats and unforgettable moments to Decentraland! Good luck! *Performer without a venue?
