Decentraland Studios, formerly the Verified Partners Registry, has emerged as a vital platform for connecting those who want to create experiences in Decentraland but lack the necessary skills with creators who can turn their ideas into a reality. Established thanks to a Decentraland DAO grant, the registry of individual creators and studios has expanded to offer all the services one might need to host a successful event in Decentraland or bring to life a fantastic build, all organized in an easy-to-navigate webpage.

A place where partnerships are created
Decentraland Studios is for anyone who’s ever had an idea for content or an event in Decentraland, but didn’t have the necessary knowledge or skills to make it happen. The registry can benefit brands, game designers, event organizers, artists, or ordinary individuals with a vision, connecting them with skilled individuals and enabling them to make informed decisions. Brands especially can benefit from the services offered in Decentraland Studios. In Decentraland, brands can expand their metaverse presence through advertising, establishing a metaverse HQ, participation in tentpole events such as MVFW23 or DCLMVMF22, or hosting an interactive experience such as Netflix’s The Gray Man maze or Doritos’ Triangle Studios. The current services offered through Decentraland Studios are: 3D Modeling and Programming (scene/experience creation); Emote, Wearable, and Linked Wearable creation; advisement and creative direction services; entertainment; and LAND, venue, and advertising space rentals. In addition to the different services offered, filter options include global region, team size, as well as payment method.
A new feature to the registry, Jobs, will make finding the right team for your project even easier. Now if you don’t have the time to browse through studio listings, you don’t have to. With the Jobs feature, you can post a job offer through Decentraland Studios detailing your project type and description, the required skills, as well as your budget and timeline. Now, interested studios will be able to apply for your project directly, so you only need to review the studios that match your every need, completely streamlining the process. This new feature is expected to create more opportunities for creators, creating a level playing field, and help job posters find the right talent to work with, contributing to a more efficient hiring experience within the Decentraland ecosystem.
Decentraland Studios also offers other resources which can make it easier for those planning events & projects in Decentraland to conceptualize the many possibilities awaiting them in the metaverse. How Decentraland Studios was established
The Decentraland Studios platform, established thanks to a grant from the Decentraland DAO, was first brought forward to fulfill a necessity: create a comprehensive and verified registry of qualified creators. Its primary objective was to set up a website with a list of stakeholders, implement verification processes, and build connections with the Decentraland community. The platform has since evolved to streamline job opportunities, enhance creators' visibility, and make it easier for anyone to organize events and create content in the metaverse regardless of their relevant knowledge or technical skill level.The first grant for the Verified Partners Registry was proposed to create a public registry of Decentraland creators. This, the proposal argued, would make it easier for brands, organizations, and individuals entering the space to find and hire experienced professionals for their projects.
The initial budget, set to last six months, was meant to develop and maintain the registry and onboard creators, including freelancers and studios offering services such as Wearable and venue creation, programming, event production, and full-cycle production. The grant also allocated resources for setting up a dedicated team, including producers Agustín Pagano, Alejandro Escoda, Francisco Crespi, and Omar Bobrow, as well as operational expenses.Over the eight months following the grant’s enactment, the Decentraland Studios team achieved several critical milestones outlined in the first grant, including onboarding and listing over 150 studios, receiving 500+ projects and 2200+ pictures, and effectively launching a web platform that allows creators to showcase their portfolios. They also implemented service categories, verification processes, filters for potential clients, a projects feed, client reviews, and resource tabs with ready-to-implement experiences in Decentraland.
A vision for the future of Decentraland Studios
In March 2023, Decentraland Studios requested a grant renewal to keep developing the project, which was met with support from the community and approved. With the renewed funding, the platform will continue to be further developed, the registry of creators expanded, and marketing efforts will be increased to promote Decentraland Studios and the services Decentraland’s creators offer.
